Multi-Day Canyoneering

This is our premier canyoneering and desert hiking adventure. During this tour, our base camp will be situated in a majestic river-carved sandstone canyon. This section, called the “Barracks”, is a remote and seldom visited area and is your own private Zion narrows. The immense sandstone backcountry of Southern Utah is ours to explore.

Over our 3 days, we will descend into two technical slot canyons and 1 non-technical in order to truly explore the diversity amongst miles of river-carved slot-canyons.

Along the way, we will hike into numerous side slot canyons. If you wish to take the adventure up a notch, two of these are technical canyon descents involving short swims.

This is a full value backcountry experience in a pristine and rarely visited part of the Zion National Park area. These private trips are an exclusive offering by ZMS and are customized specifically for your Zion vacation.

No previous experience is required, and we will provide all necessary technical gear and equipment. The canyons we descend have rappels up to 110 feet and we hike an average of 10 miles per day. Additional camping and cooking equipment is available for rental as well. April-October are the best months for this back-country adventure.
